Earn college credit while attending Kaplan International Centers!

　　The Highline Community College (HCC) Foundation Program includes Kaplan"s General English classes one half of the day and Highline Community College classes the other half. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to continue to improve your English skills while earning college credit.

　　Step 1 - Take a KIC Pre-Arrival Test- you will have to reach KIC Higher Intermediate level to begin the HCC Foundation Program. If your level is lower than Higher-Intermediate, don’t worry. A KIC representative will help you determine how long you will have to study at KIC before reaching the appropriate level and will help you design a study-plan.

　　Step 2 – Choose the start date and enroll into the Foundation Program.

　　Step 3 – Arrive and start your Foundation Program.

　　Part 1:

　　• Complete KIC General English classes (min. 4 weeks).

　　• During the first 4 weeks of your enrollment, in addition to attending General English classes, you will have meetings with a KIC Academic Advisor, who will provide all the necessary support, guidance and assistance in enrolling into HCC.

　　• Take the college’s math and English placement exams.

　　Part 2:

　　• Enroll into Highline Community College for one quarter (10 weeks).

　　• You will attend KIC General English and 2-5 credits (1-2 classes) at Highline Community College at the same time.

　　Step 4 - Complete the Higher Intermediate English level and the college term, and then transfer into the college.

　　KIC HCC 学生在完成我们语言4级后（共6级）就可以选择HCC foundation 课程了，这个课程可以修HCC社区的学分。

　　学生要先做Kaplan的测试，对语言课进行分级。完成语言课后参加英语和数学的测试进入学分课程。可修2-5个学分。正式进入社区大学之后，所修学分都会转入社区大学。
